There is a bit of a range war occuring here at the moment between genders. Some men are really messed up about their own uality and they act out here in anonymity. Misogyny, women hating, is a mental disease with strong latent roots. Their families and society messed them up and made them hide their true uality. Any repression like that oozes out in unhealthy behaviors. Also, men with "mommy issues" and other such emotional hang-ups usually have a difficult time in life getting along with men who see right through them and their character weaknesses, so they "hang out with the girls", so to say. They display attack behaviors and try to disparage women because they feel frightened and inadequate around people unless they can reduce them somehow. They prowl around among women because that kind of behavior would get their teeth knocked out in the company of men. It's a coward's way. But, there are plenty of healthy men with strong character who participate in this category for the purpose of finding ways to better the condition of women all over the world. I recommend ignoring the morbid few who have problems and focus on the more constructive threads. Misogynists and men with severe emotional mommy issues need counseling and usually have criminal records and disciplinary actions in their school records and such. They are quickly identified in real life everywhere they go. The military weeds them out as soon as their problems manifest. Most rapists are misogynists. It wouldn't surprise me at all if many of the troubled guys answering here in Women's Studies were hailing from prisons. If any of them send you hate mail, report it immediately to Yahoo Answers. And, don't engage with them because that feeds their morbid need for feeling "persecuted" by women. Women should try to behave as balanced and constructively as possible and, hopefully, this category will improve.

How can I make this better?

First work on description, minimise to allow for flow so that the reader's mind pictures what you want. This can't be achieved by telling the reader every little detail. Cut right back on the adjectives, popping one in only every now and then instead of in front of every noun. Same goes for adverbs. To try and clarify, if a golden sun rises over a luminescent valley you have a problem; either the sun is the cause of the luminescence, in which case the temporal aspect is inaccurate, or something else is causing the luminescence, in which case it needs explaining. Another example is in the next sentence; portentous storm clouds that then dissipate is at best a tad contradictory and at worst oxymoronic. Another answerer pointed out what's wrong with enthusiastically scampered, I agree with him/her. I also agree with the comment about describing through the speech, for instance if someone asks 'why?' that generally implies confusion and dictates a character's tone, so there's no need to explain it.

This woman has been interested in me for over a year. She communicated in several ways that she was interested in me, but I never paid her any mind. January 14, 2011 I finally respond to her and asked her out that night. She was nervous aswell as I. We double dated with my cousin and my best friend. We all had a great time and there was alot of chemistry between her and I. We talked constantly on the phone, getting to know eachother was very exciting. I made her feel good by simply being a good man, nothing more. She seemed extremely thankful for just the little things I've done, when I thought nothing of it and I would respond to her "this is what a man is suppose to do". She's been in a crappy marriage and apparently was a bit damaged. I told her that I'm a patient man. She wanted real and I gave it to her. I showed her compion and appreciation. But happiness came and went. The relationship was going fast, we tried slowing down but our emotions and feelings for eachother was really getting the best of us. Then she started twisting my words and my actions. Simple things like leaving flowers or notes on her door step or calling her on a saturday morning to have breakfast, or askng her what her schedule looked like one week so that i can schedule time for us to spend together (since she communicated that i'm so busy with work) was my attempt to control her??? romance was no longer romance in this relationship and soon I was walking on eggshells with her. iF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO don't do anything. there are times in your life that you have to use your head, all you have to do is use car wash soap and a brush or one of those hand mitt sheepskin things and elbow grease, you have to loosen up several layers, but it works better than going uh gee wonder what happens if I use degreaser, which is not for wheels dude. go to the auto parts store and buy a can of that cleaner stuff for alloy rims, and hope that it helps put some shine back onto the metal. I know you can put some son of a gun or armor all on the whole thing and wipe it down but that will only last until it rains. The only other trick I know that you can try is clean the wheels really super good, buy a can of clear lacquer paint from wal mart and after the rims dry really well do a quick coat of lacquer nice easy spray lightly until it has the wet look all around the rim stay back 12 inches or so, and once it looks good and shiny, stop that's the best you can do.

Making Your Own Iodine Shampoo?

I have a horse with a patch of persistent rain-scald, I've tried using Krudbuster and various other spray on products designed to treat it. Sterilized all of my equipment, followed the usual protocol for dealing with it. After a couple weeks with little improvement I had the vet out and he said to try an iodine shampoo on it. I've checked all of the tack, feed-stores, ect in my area and they don't carry it. I was wondering if it would be alright to just mix iodine with regular horse shampoo? My mom is 46 years old and every month when it is time for her period she bleeds very, very heavy. She has to wake up every hour bc literally there will be blood all over her bed. My soon to be 15 yo dtr thinks she is all grown up and doesn't need to be parented any longer. I have caught her in a # of lies which were small but lies all the same. How about THIS law - All dogs need to be on leash and under control. If you don't want your cat attacked then keep it inside or build a fence around your yard. That way if it is a wild dog it shouldn't be in your yard, and if it was in your yard and owned the owner is responsible for the fact that their dog isn't under control. Having the dog muzzled all the time is pretty cruel if you ask me.

My 13 day old granddaughter went in for her two week check today, and my daughter said that the doctor squeezed her until he got a drop of the newborn milk. Ok, deep breath and relax. Ok, it's kinda hard to tell without having temps for your whole cycle. I don't know much about OPKs because I don't use them because I've heard they're very unreliable. Whether or not you should throw out the last temp probably depends on how much you talked before you took your temp. The air going in your mouth can cause a lower temperature reading, but it depends on how much air was going in your mouth. BBT charting only works if you're really diligent about it, but it really does work, at least for me. I had a very clear idea of when I ovulated because of my chart. Oh, and don't worry about having to get up right after BD. Most of the swimmers would already have been past your cervix by then anyway. The ones who weren't wouldn't have much chance anyway. I was watching the latest episode of Naruto, the 3 parter that shows when naruto first got iruka as his homeroom teacher, roughly 1 year before the very first episode. at the end of the 3rd episode (the most recent of the 3) Iruka tells naruto about the Hokage and Naruto tells iruka that he now wants to be hokage so people respect him. one problem, in the episode where it explains why Hinata is in love with naruto, she first notices him when he goes running around shouting that he will be the future hokage. we obviously know that this clip takes place before the most recent and that hinata at this point loves him as she's spying on him while he practices the clone jutsu. so if she fell in love with him in an earlier episode where he wanted to be hokage, did he (by he I mean the writers) magically forget or is there somthing going on here?

Hey, well there's this girl who seems to like me (if she does she is extremely brave). She is pretty shy (like me) and doesn't have many friends (also like me). My cold water pipe is frozen under my kitchen sink. I don't have a basement or crawl space..how do I thaw it?

You have two things to be concerned about: the frozen pipe and whether it has burst because of the ice. Until the pipe thaws, you won't know if there is a split in the pipe. Best thing to do is turn off the main water valve (not the one under the sink, but the whole house) before you thaw the pipe. Then open a faucet in the lowest part of your house (basement or first floor) and another one or two on the highest level. This will drain the water out of your plumbing system so no more can freeze. Then heat the pipes that are frozen with a hair dryer; you are risking a fire if you use a propane torch or other open flames. Turn off all the faucets and carefully turn on the main valve. If you hear water running in a wall somewhere you know you have a burst pipe and can immediately call a plumber. IF you don't hear anything, chances are you are OK. I've been through this, and no one told me to turn off the main valve. Fortunately, I was home when the burst pipe thawed. If I hadn't been, the water would have been running for 8 hours before I got home from work and would have been a disaster. Next time leave both the hot and cold water running at a trickle during cold weather. The water moving keeps the pipes from freezing.

Could my acne treatment just stop working?

right before christmas break i went to the doctor for acne treatment because it was getting really bad. he gave me a prescription for clindamycin phosphate pads to use twice a day and said it would take about 6 to 8 weeks to fully take effect. at first it was working great and gradually getting better every week, but for the last two or three weeks my acne has just kind of been stable, but my skin is nowhere close to being clear. is it possible that my acne treatment has stopped working? should i go back and get a different treatment?

Found a maggot in my chocolate?!?

ok, so i had those little hershey's milk chocolate bars (small ones) that my parents handed out on halloween, so i decided to have two little ones as a treat. ate ate one of them, then when I opened the second one this really really tiny maggot fell on to the counter! i already threw out the chocolate bar and squished the maggot, but what should I do?!? i feel so gross! could i like, get a really bad infection in my stomach if the other chocolate bars had maggots in them?

You have guys that are overall durable and will get you more than your share of saves. Once he heats up a bit, move Delgado into 1B, Sheff to OF, and you might think about doing it soon and selling off Rios too. You will still have plenty of speed, and just think - a package of Maine and Rios could probably get you just about any SP you want, except perhaps Santana. Then you trade Penny for someone that doesn't collapse annually starting around July 1. You can also add a decent SP off of the waiver wire who will give you plenty. Make sure to look at split stats and see who usually starts cold and then goes well the rest of the way.

I need help with a 1986 Plymouth Reliant SE?

I have a 1986 Plymouth Reliant SE. 2.2 non turbo engine. 4 cyc. We have changed the battery, plugs,wires and the fuel filter and the car will not start. All it will do is crank and not turn over. I was told to check the cataliatic converter but it does not have one or we cannot find one. My question is.. What should we check next?? The muffler has thick black suet coming from under the muffler and tail pipe.. Could it be the fuel pump going bad?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thankx!!

I think Vick should get what he did to those dogs. People are dumb, cruel and rude anyways. Dogs are cute and lovable. I don't feel sorry for Vick. Im 11 years old and mon i had a sore throat bout 100 degrees tues i noticed fever was fading to about 98.7 Sore throat terrible in morning and better round 11 cuz of some hot tea wens woke up felt great . So at school i have pe first in the morning i felt warm when i was in the lockers and when i was inside the gym I started doing some warm up exersies. I felt warm and asked my friends Cindy and Victoria to feel my head they said i was burning up but i wanted stay we all went outside to jog a few laps and a i was running to keep up with Cindy and Victoria i gradually started feeling more and more pain in my rib cage i didnt care so i speeded up and when jogging was done i was limping and the bell rung i went to my math cl my teacher said just go to the nurse i did she said i had a fever and a very red thorat so my mom picked me up we went home and i slept till around 6 when i woke it hurt to move, breath, and move my head. I had about 104 fever

Superbowl. Why are all those people so close to the sideline?

I am Australian and it is the first time I have watched the game. I don't really know any of the rules but it is fun to watch anyway. One thing I have noticed though is that the sideline around the field is packed with so many photographers, offiicials etc. Doesn't this put the players off? And are they (the photographers) not scared of injury? I just saw one poor player run straight into all the people on the sideline and they scrambled to get out of the way. And what happens if one of the players does get hit in the eye by a tripod stand? If I was the sponsor paying top dollar for that player I would be outraged.

Yeah it's so fun! This one day, there was lightning and it was raining and my friend Kristen and I were having a sleepover and like at 4:00 am we sneaked out and we were jumping in the puddles and running through the rain and we were so soaking wet! She lives in apartments and we needed to dry our clothes and the laundry room was closed so we had to open the windows and sneak inside quietly. It was so much fun! And we got away with it since her mom is a very deep sleeper! :D

I live in Anchorage, AK and I can tell you from personal experience that she isn't all that great. She hasn't done much and campaigned on two "bridges" to nowhere. She is not the same person we elected as our Gov. and she really hasn't done much for our native community's some that done even have running water. So whats the big deal? The Natural gas pipeline she totes about is still years away and the 14% of oil the lower 48 gets from us is more expensive the the middle easts oil. Oh, and that other 86% goes over seas. Maverick? Under the terms of the agreement the Russians just signed they are obviously planning some thing; part of the agreement (besides the withdrawal from Georgia we are still waiting on) is that Russia was to remove all troops from SO except the Peacekeeping forces that were there. The SS-21's were brought in after they signed it and the fighting had stopped so they have no intention of keeping the treaty they just signed and I am guessing will work hard to see if they can goad Georgia in to doing something so they can attack again; this is what they did last time and hopefully the Georgians will not react this time.

What are the signs of PTSD?

Well I am definitely not a professional. However, I have been diagnosed with PTSD. Some of your symptoms are similar to mine. Also from what I understand PTSD can be dormant and emerge years later or whenever you encounter a trigger. For example my triggers are loud noises that resemble gunshots or flahing lights that resemble muzzle flashes. Once again you should talk to a professional because only they can really tell you for sure. But if you are having nightmares regularly, flashbacks, trouble sleeping, anxiety and depression there is a good chance that it is PTSD.

A fight with myself...in my head...wtf?

You might just be depressed. It's easy to question your looks and self esteem when you're depressed. But from your picture, you look very pretty. You have to remember that it's all in your mind and you're just putting yourself down for no reason. Plus, you're a teen. Not a single teen (including myself) thinks that they are perfect many go to school and always worry about their thighs or their hair or something else about their physical appearance. So try not to be so hard on yourself because what you're saying isn't true. You are very pretty. :)

There were thousands of killings of innocent people in Colombia 10 years ago due to the drug trade. America is the largest consumer of south American illegal Drugs. Now the murder rate in Mexico is going thru the roof in drug wars and the illegal drug trade is closer to the USA than it was before. So the real question is.. Can we apply legal punishement to college students for funding the Drug/Murder trade?
