Need an idea for a short story...(ENGLISH EXPERTS: PLEASE LOOK !!)?

Well I am not an english expert ,but I do write a lot of stories and by the way your explaining things your looking for something factual but still fiction well my suggestions are write about slavery in a slave's point of view and add facts like what they went through and how their owners treated them or write about a historical figure like Gorge Washington crossing the river in the middle of the winter from the view of one of the other people in the boat. Well that is all I had hope this helps.
