Why is korean society very phobic but japanese is not?

Being part Korean I have a hard time saying this but Koreans are some of the most bigoted people on Earth towards the gay community . And the worst part is that having a ually ambiguous personality is widely accepted but once it is confirmed that you are really gay everyone turns their back on you . (ei. it's perfectly o.k for guys in boy bands over there to kiss each other , dress extremely feminine and wear make up as long as long as you don't say for yourself that you're indeed gay ) It may have something to do with the Christianity rate in Korea but I have noticed Koreans are prejudice against A LOT of people . (by no means all but quite a few)
