Would Gray wolves be able to survive in the Serengeti Africa?

They would likely not survive long. Grey Wolves are cold climate animals for the most part. The wold dogs of Africa are much better equipped and evolved to handle that terrain. Also, Grey Wolves do not have the evolutionary background with the African Environment so they would probably be much easier prey for animals that do - not to mention dog diseases that exist in Aftrica and do not, say, in Canada or Alaska.
