What is a urine test for genetic metabolic disorder? Do you know about it? Where do I get this test done from?

My colleague delivered last month and got her baby tested for genetic disorders by this Extended Newborn Genetic Screening done by urine test. She said it could diagnose hereditary genetic disease being ped on to the baby? I didn’t ask her much as I didn’t want to come out not knowing anything about it?? Does any1 know about this test being done around? Why is it better than blood test??
